🎙️ Stories We Weren’t Supposed To Tell

A survivor-led podcast by Sunshine Faye Media

This podcast is for the ones who survived the unthinkable… and still got up the next day

Stories We Weren’t Supposed To Tell is a raw, real, and powerful space where survivors speak their truth, break the silence, and take their power back—one story at a time.

Our Mission:

The only way we can truly help others is by not staying silent.

By sharing our stories, we heal each other.

Trigger Warning:

This podcast may include topics like emotional abuse, narcissistic behavior, domestic violence, trauma, PTSD, and recovery.

Please take care of yourself while listening. Pause when you need to. You’re safe here.

This podcast is not a substitute for professional therapy or emergency services.

Meet my co-host Rosey

I am here not only as a professional but also bringing my own healing journey as a survivor— learning to rebuild safety, voice, and self-worth — is what fuels my passion for supporting others doing the same.

I work as a community mental health worker on a street outreach team, helping individuals experiencing homelessness navigate trauma, loss, and the many challenges they face with compassion and dignity.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, am currently working toward my CADC (certified alcohol and drug counselor) certification, and will begin my Master’s degree in Counseling this fall. My goal is to continue blending lived experience with professional training to help survivors not just cope — but heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
